Sex and the Suburbs
Well, like many other eager women across America I saw Sex and the City this weekend. For the most part it really did fill a five year old void, if even for only two and a half hours. I know it's getting mixed reviews but I enjoyed it very much.
One of my friends that I saw it with summed it up well. She said, "It was like watching clips of a full season of the show." Most of the characters remained true to where we left them last, but I was a little disappointed in Samantha's lack of escapades. I won't give away any more because I don't want to ruin anything for anyone.
If you do go see it just approach it as you would the show and don't look for some epic tale. If you do that I think you'll enjoy as much as I did. And hey, even if you don't love the movie, the fashion is fun!
Thanks to my three friends from the city for coming out to the Jersey burbs to see it with me! Kind of ironic, right?
My friends stayed all weekend and lived it up suburb style! We ate most of our meals outside, shopped at some local boutiques such as TJ Max, Target and Trader Joe's and played Rock Band as well as hitting the movies. I had a great time. Crafting was scheduled but didn't really happen as the weekend flew by. Oh well, we'll have to be more diligent about that next time!
